DELTA MAE JOHNSON, 80, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at her home on December 26, 2011.
Mrs. Johnson was the former Delta Mae Husk. She was a nurse with Our Lady of Peace for 25 years. She was an active member at her church, Hopewell Baptist for over 40 years, and also active in the lives of her loved ones. Through her many acts of compassion, she touched many lives throughout the community and beyond. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, William A. Johnson; children, Daniel D. Johnson (Sherry), Timothy J. Johnson (Kathy) and Lori A. Johnson-Richardson (David); 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Vera Hayes, of Alabama and brother, Russell Husk, of Indiana.
Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be held from 2-6pm Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Hopewell Baptist Church, 4305 Hopewell Road. Funeral will be held at the church at 11:00am on Thursday, December 29, 2011 with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery.
