Marietta “Minnie” Weiner (Edelstein) of Chelsea and Saugus died on December 25 at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Weiner.
Minnie was born in Chelsea and graduated from the Chelsea High School before entering and graduating from the Massachusetts School of Physical Therapy and X-ray Technicians. She was a long time employee of the Chelsea Soldiers Home and Revere Memorial Hospital. Minnie was a long standing member of Temple Emmanuel of Chelsea Sisterhood.
Minnie was the devoted mother of Michael J. Weiner and his wife Darlene of New Hampshire and Sheila C. Pistone and her husband Paul of Saugus. She was the loving daughter of the late Max and Mollie (Wiseman) Edelstein. Minnie was the dear sister of Pauline Orloff of Swampscott and the late James Adelstein, Harold Adelstein, and Helen Edelstein. She was the loving grandmother of Marc Pistone, Nicole Pistone and Farrah Monahan. Minnie was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq.) Chelsea on Tuesday, December 27th at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance at the Florence-Cohen-Levine Estates, 201 Captains Row,4th Floor, Chelsea immediately following the interment.
