Robert A. LaPlume, 72 of Windham, NH passed away December 23, 2011 after a period of failing health. He was born January 5, 1939 in Lawrence, MA to the late Joseph E. and Delvina (Bechard) LaPlume. He graduated from Central Catholic High School, Lawrence, MA and Massachusetts Trade Shop School, Boston, MA. Bob was a licensed Master Electrician in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and founded and operated LaPlume Electrical for over 44 years. He was a communicant of St. Matthews’s church in Windham, NH. Bob was a charter member of the Salem Contractor’s Association.
He loved spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee with his children and grandchildren and spending his winters in Florida.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Colette M. (Chasse) LaPlume OF Windham. He is also survived by his loving children David and his wife Sheryl of Danville, NH, Kathleen and her husband William Brady of Bedford NH, Nicole and her husband Timothy Scott of Manchester, NH and Jolene and her husband Robert Arrighi of Merrimack, NH. His son Scott LaPlume predeceased him. One brother Gerard and his wife Maureen LaPlume of Salem, NH survive him. A sister Theresa Chute and a brother Richard LaPlume predeceased him.
He also leaves 10 grandchildren Christina and Brian LaPlume, Adam, Jonathan and Sarah Brady, Danielle and Matthew Scott, Erik and Brett Glendye and Josie Arrighi and one great grandchild Blake Brady.
Calling hours are on Thursday, Dec. 29th from 9-11:30 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 PM at St. Matthew Church, Windham, NH.
