Obituary

NORTHBOROUGH-Walter “Lee” Knight, 52, of 70 Summer Street died Wednesday, March 17th at home after a long struggle with cancer. He leaves his significant other of many years, June M. Mansfield, his step father, Edward Gagnon, Sr. of Brockton, 5 sons, Richard Kent and Brian Knight both of Worcester, Michael and his wife Melissa Mansfield of Northborough, Christopher Morneault of Northborough and Jamie and his wife Tina Mansfield of Worcester, 3 daughters, Debra Kent of FL, Jenifer Mansfield and Michelle Mansfield both of Northborough, 3 brothers, Edward Gagnon, Jr., Robert and Mark Gagnon all of Worcester, 5 sisters, Martha Lam of Barre, Bonnie Supernor of OK, Marie Mead, Kimberly Dixon and Carol Gagnon all of Worcester, his former wife, Mary (Greene) Knight of Worcester, 8 grandchildren, several nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester the son of Charlotte Knight. Mr. Knight was employed by the City of Worcester for many years retiring in 1995. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Outdoor World Campground and Bullet Hole Racing.

The funeral is Monday, March 22nd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, March 21st from 2:00 until 5:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Walter Knight Memorial Fund which has been established with Citizen’s Bank.
