Barbara J Andersen, 76, passed away Wednesday morning, December 21, 2011 at Mystic Manor. She was born on March 9, 1935 in Schenectady, NY, the daughter of Casimer and Bronislawa Wicinski Leonowicz.
Barbara had been employed at Monsanto when it was located in Stonington as a secretary for 10 years. Barbara enjoyed gardening, swimming and cooking.
Barbara was a the widow of Laurence R. Andersen who passed way in January, 1996. She is survived by one son, Laurits Andersen and two daughters, Cynthia J. Fields and Patricia L. Andersen-Beaman and their spouses, as well as 2 grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Mystic Manor's caring staff for their kind and gentle caring over the years for Barbara.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, E. Main Street, Mystic on Tuesday at 2pm. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Barbara J. Andersen to Catholic Charities, 28 Huntington St, New London CT 06320.
