Francesco Minghella of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was 90 years of age.
Born in Italy, he was the loving son of the late Michael Minghella and Angelina (Marrocco) Minghella. Francesco was a dedicated and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
Francesco was a resident of Stoneham for the past 60 years. He had a tremendous love for his family. Francesco was a devoted employee for 45 years at General Foods, now known as Atlantic Gelatin in Woburn. He was also a chartered member of the Marconi Club in Stoneham.
Francesco was the beloved husband of the late Marie Carmella (Buono) Minghella. He was the devoted father of Michael Minghella and his wife Judith of Woburn, Loretta Goddard and her husband William of Stoneham, Frank Minghella of Stoneham, the cherished grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 11. Francesco was the dear brother of Jennie Salera and Ernest Minghella, both of Stoneham, and the late Thomas Minghella, Mickey Marrocco and Peter Minghella.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Friday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
