Thomas W. Wheatley
Evans, GA—Mr. Thomas Wright Wheatley,79, beloved husband of Mrs. Jimmie Sidener Wheatley, entered into rest on Monday, December 19, 2011 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Zack Claxton officiating. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park.
In addition to his loving wife of 52 years, Mr. Wheatley is survived by his son, Steve Wheatley (Pam); his daughter, Connie Holloway; his sisters, Mary Jane Greer and Edna Waagner; his grandchildren, Stephen Wheatley, Jr. (Amie), Kayla Wheatley, Dylan Wheatley, Josh Holloway (Jenny), and Jake Holloway; and his great-grandchildren, Madison Wheatley, Isabelle Wheatley, and Tucker Holloway.
Mr. Wheatley graduated from Richmond Academy and went on to attend the Junior College of Augusta. During his career, Mr. Wheatley was a partner in the C & W Equipment Co., owner of Consolidated Construction Co., and also was a partner in Steve Wheatley and Associates. He also served as Past Vice President of Georgia Utility Contractor Assoctiation.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Wheatley, Jr., Dylan Wheatley, Josh Holloway, Jake Holloway, Bobby Poole, and Lee Wheatley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, December 21, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
