William Henry Walker Jr., 64, of Manchester died December 19, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Jamaica, NY on July 31, 1947, the son of William H. and Dorothea (Lutringer) Walker Sr. He earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Leo College in Florida.
Prior to retirement, he had worked for NH Insurance Company in Manchester for many years. Since retirement, he had also worked as a school bus driver for the Manchester Transit Authority.
Bill was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan who also enjoyed collecting New Hampshire memorabilia. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Christine M. (Hartelius) Walker of Manchester; two sons, David M. Walker and his wife Jane of Manchester; Jason W. Walker and his wife Lindsay of Rio Rancho, NM; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Corinne Walker; three sisters, Susan Casimir of East Meadow, NY, Jennifer Ansart of Brattleboro, VT, and Marianne Howe of Chicopee, MA; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The funeral service was held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at in the Lambert Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Ray J. Labrie officiating.
Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Calef Rd.
