Obituary

FORD, Mildred Lee (DUFF), died December 18, 2011, Mt. Juliet, Wilson County, TN. Born June 14, 1915, in Perry County, TN. Preceeded in death by parents, Artee & Ada (Carroll) Duff; husbands, Henry Phillip Ford and Willie Gillis Ford, Jr; brothers, Lloyd Duff, John T. Duff, Otis Duff, and Roy Duff; and sisters, Ola Mae Campbell, Rhue King, and Helen Ritter. Survived by daughters, Diane Pugh, Murfreesboro, and Donna (Michael) Reynolds, Hermitage; grandchildren, Sara Michelle Reynolds and Brian Joseph Reynolds, Hermitage, and Lindsey Diane Pugh, Murfreesboro; and two younger sisters, Louise Talley, Nashville, and Mary Burch, Knoxville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much. During her 96 years, she lived in Lobelville, Nashville, and Franklin, TN, Cincinatti, OH, and Detroit, MI. She worked in an airplane factory during WWII, and other years at Dupont in Old Hickory, TN, and finally at CPS Industries in Franklin, TN. She was a saleslady for Avon for a time, a talented seamstress, and grew a fantastic vegetable garden for many years. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior after attending a Billy Graham revival in Nashville, TN in September, 1954. She was a member at Calvary Baptist Church while living in Nashville, then at Forest Hills Baptist Church after moving to Franklin, TN, where she was in the Lydia Bible Class. Visitation Wednesday, 4 – 8 pm, and Thursday, 10 - Noon with services following conducted by her nephew, Michael Duff, at Ellis Funeral Home, 2627 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN.
