WORCESTER-Hanh Thi Tran, 77, of Worcester, passed away Monday December 19th in her home. She was born in Kien Giang, Vietnam, the daughter of the late Tran Van Thu and Pham Thi Tuyet and was the second oldest of nine children. She and her family immigrated to the USA in 1979. Her husband, Tan Van Duong, died in 2010. She leaves nine children and 19 grandchildren, of Worcester and Spencer; six brothers in Vietnam; and two sisters in Vietnam.
She enjoyed cooking and being surrounded by family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Calling hours are Wednesday, December 21st from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Her funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 22nd in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Vietnamese Buddhist Center, 96 Dewey Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
