Elwood L. Robinson, 90, of Londonderry, NH died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, NH following a lengthy illness. He was born on July 26, 1921 in Kingston, NY, a son of the late George and Emma (Rieks) Robinson. Mr. Robinson served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII where he was honorably discharged as a Corporal. He was employed as a Postal Carrier with the US Postal service until his retirement in 1977. He loved to watch sports on TV and was a die-hard NY Giants fan.
He is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Esther J. Aldridge of Kingston, NY, one daughter, Paula E. Robinson-DeGraff and her husband Peter of Londonderry, NH, two sons, Dennis W. Robinson and his wife Helen of Kingston, NY, and Jeffrey E. Robinson and his wife Paula of Woodstock, GA; three grandchildren, Brendan J. Robinson and his wife Marnie of Maryland, Brian J. Robinson and his wife Lindsay of Honolulu, HI, and Tracy L. Robinson of Washington, DC; two great granddaughter, Natalie S. Robinson and Makayla Robinson; also nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers, George A. Robinson, Floyd J. Robinson, and Christopher R. Robinson: two sisters, Mildred M. Robinson Record and Bessie Robinson Ellis.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, the family will hold private committal services at a later date in Kingston, NY.
