Robert Frank Erickson, 79, of Groton, died Tuesday at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.
He was the husband of Patricia (Moran) Erickson whom he married at the Grand Lake Lutheran Church in Oakland, CA on February 15, 1948.
Mr. Erickson was born in Oakland on December 19, 1924 to Robert C. and Ethel (Fisher) Erickson.
He served in the US Army National Guard for many years retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW-4).In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Pamela Kathleen Erickson of CA and Sharon Lee Horton of NJ; two grandsons, Joshua Hoobler and Tyler Horton.
He was predecased by his 3 siblings, Girven Erickson, Mildred Coleman, and Laura VanSickle.
A Private Graveside Service with military honors will be conducted on Saturday at Old Plains Cemetery, North Stonington. There are no visiting hours.
