Mildred Rojek, 86, of Olyphant, died Thursday. She was the widow of John Rojek, who died in April 2007. They were married for 59 years.
Born in Jessup, daughter of the late George and Celia Wano Hodorovich, she was a lifelong resident of Olyphant and a graduate of Olyphant High School. Before retirement, she worked in the local garment industry. She was a member of Holy Ghost Parish and Holy Ghost Church, Olyphant. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Mohegan Sun, gardening and spending time on her computer. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed her granddaughters' accomplishments.
Surviving are two sons, John and wife, Leilani, Piscataway, N.J.; and George and wife, Sherry, Olyphant; two granddaughters, Amy Rojek Mayer and husband, Tristan, Lansdowne; and Jennifer Barton and husband, Brad, Denver; a sister, Romayne Thomas and husband, John, Las Vegas; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Monday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant.
