Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Priscilla M. (Perry) Roderick, 89, of Lanesville, passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Den-Mar Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rockport. She was the wife of the late Gil A. Roderick, who died in February of 2002. They had shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in Gloucester on March 13, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Frank F. and Esther F. (Davis) Perry. A lifelong resident of Gloucester, she had attended Gloucester public schools.
Mrs. Roderick loved her family and home very much. She enjoyed spending time and having long talks with her children and grandchildren. In the summer she would be outside working in her gardens. She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was always busy doing for others and will be truly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana, wife of Ronald Metzner and Sarah Roderick; her son, Gil, Jr., husband of Patty Roderick; two grandchildren, Gil W., husband of Christine Roderick and Joseph, husband of Antrella Roderick; three great-grandchildren, Aryanna, Eric and James Roderick, Jr. and her sister-in-law, Fern, wife of John Diamantides. She was also predeceased by grandson, James Roderick and sister, Gertrude Foley.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7th in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Den-Mar Rehabilitation and Nursing Center “Resident Activity Fund”, 44 South Street, Rockport, MA 01966.
