Aristotle S. "Ted" Tsigaridas, 91, of James St., passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in the Transitional Care Unit of Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard in Webster.
He leaves his wife of 42 years, Helen "Cin" (Nowicki) Trigaridas, Two sisters; Maria wife of Louis P. Econome of Dudley, and Elaine Patrinos of Topsfield, and a nephew and nieces.
Ted was born in Webster, the son of Stergios K. and Panagiota "Mary" (Keriazes) Tsigaridas and lived in Dudley most of his life.
He was a 1939 graduate of Bartlett High School and was part of the basketball team. He also attended the former Cole Trade School in Southbridge.
Ted was a WWII Army veteran and saw action at the Normany Invasion and The Battle of the Bulge.He was a member of the American Legion Post #184.
Ted was a golf enthusiast and a former member of the Nichols Golf course.
He worked for many years at the former Ethan Allen Co. in Dudley as a woodworker, and later he and his wife owned and operated Aristotle's Restaurant in Burrillville, R.I. for several years
Ted was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
Ted's Funeral will be Monday, December 19, 2011 with a Service at 11AM in Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway in Webster. Burial with Military Honors conducted by the Webster-Dudley Veterans' Council will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation Hours will be Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 4 to 7 PM ' AT THE CHURCH'.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, P.O.Box 713, Webster,MA. 01570.
