Obituary

Mrs. Faye E. (Rand) Adams, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late Warren H. Adams, Sr., died at her home in Medford on Thursday, December 15, 2011. She was 81 years old.
Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on September 11, 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edwin W. and Eleanor R. (Quirk) Rand. Mrs. Adams grew up in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1948. Faye worked at Medford High school as a secretary from 1966 until 2006. She loved working with teens and she loved the spirit of Medford High School and their Mustangs. In her spare time, Faye loved to go to Foxwoods and Atlantic city casinos. She loved shopping and was an avid Patriot’s fan. She also enjoyed recent winter visits to her daughter, Randy, in Florida, going out to dinner and strawberry ice cream. Above all, Mrs. Adams was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always putting the needs of her family before her own. Her family nicknamed her "Sunshine" and she certainly was that.
Faye will be sorely missed by her loving children; Dawn P. Adams of Newburyport, Warren H. Adams, Jr. of Medford, Denyce R. and her husband Warren P. Akell of Jay, Maine, Dale H. and her husband Kevin R. Staples of Campton, New Hampshire, Randy L. Adams and her partner Brenda Stevenson of St. Petersburg, Florida and Jacquelyn L. and her husband Paul J. DiNunzio of Tewksbury, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Faye leaves behind her loving siblings:Elayne Eberth of Medford, Craig Rand of Noorth Reading and Edwin Rand of Charlestown, New Hampshire.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Community Baptist Church, 170 Fulton Street, Medford, Monday, December 19, 2011, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was held in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
