FERGUSON Robert Lee CDR. USN. RET. of Osterville, MA. passed away peacefully with his family beside him on Dec. 12, 2011 from complications with pneumonia.
Bob was born in Jamestown, ND on Dec. 7, 1932, son of the late Clifford and Gertrude (May) Ferguson.
He was raised in Minneapolis, MN. and graduated from the University of Minnesota. After retiring from the Naval Reserves, he continued his lifelong passion for
aviation by fulfilling his boyhood dream of owning and flying his P-51D Mustang.
Bob and his wife Joanne started St. Moritz Ice Skating Studio together in 1958 which evolved
into the chain of stores named Ski Market.
Bob touched many people in his life with his generosity, humor, entrepreneurial vision, and fun-loving personality.
Bob is survived by the mother of his children Joanne Emanuelson of Weston. Devoted father of Jan Ferguson of FL., Jeffrey Ferguson and his wife Susan of Holliston, Amy Heidke and her husband Bruce of Sudbury, Sally Duffley and her husband James of North Reading, and Andrew Ferguson of Wayland. Loving brother of Joann Carlson and her husband Robert of AZ. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren; Jennifer, Andrew, Timothy, Matthew, Colby, Harley, and Dawson as well as many nieces and nephews.
