Vogt, Milton “Pete”, 90, of Louisville died peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2011 at his home. He was born in New Middletown, Indiana on October 1, 1921, the son of the late Alvie and Clara Vogt. He was an Army veteran of World War II having served his country for four years. He retired from E.I Dupont Company in 1982. He was a member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church for over 80 years.
A loving husband and father, Pete is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gloria Rock Vogt; children, Gary Vogt (Janelle), Donna Gulley, Sharon Spratt (Tony) and David Vogt (Janet); grandchildren, Scott Vogt (Tabby), Toby Gerdis (Joel), Angela Jackson (Bryan), Lisa Spratt (Joey Ratterman), Christopher Spratt, Derek Gulley, and Corey Vogt (Emily); great grandchildren, Gavin and Jillian Vogt, Connor, Macy and Molly Jackson, and Ethan and Ben Gerdis.
Funeral service will be noon Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-8 at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, 3548 Taylor Boulevard.
