Willie Michael “Mike” Kemp, 52, of Alapaha, Georgia, died Monday, March 15, 2004 at home.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, March 19, 2004, at Alapaha Baptist Church with Mike Gibbs officiating.
Mr. Kemp was born December 16, 1951, in Bradenton, Florida, to the late John “Jiggs” Kemp and Winnell Hughes Kemp. He lived in Alapaha for the past five years from Bradenton, Florida. Mr. Kemp was a certified welder. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era, serving in Germany.
Mr. Kemp is survived by his wife: Patricia A. Kemp, Alapaha; three sons: Rory D. “Butch” Auchtung, Alapaha, Michael Auchtung, Bushnell, FL and Armond Auchtung, Alapaha; two grandchildren; two brothers: John David and John Allen Kemp, both of Enigma; two sisters: Carol Miley and Shirley Bryant, both of Adel. Mr. Kemp is preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Horton.
