Daniel S. Whelan Jr, of Plymouth, died on December 11th at Jordan Hospital at the age of 57. He is survived by his beloved wife Debra (Savoia) of Plymouth and his cherished children Daniel S. Whelan III and Andrew M. Whelan both of Plymouth, Wendy Buote and her husband Will of Dracut and Mia Marsocci of Plymouth. He also leaves six grandchildren Rick Barnhardt, Alyssa Power, Kylie Brynn Whelan, Allison, Madeleine and Michael Buote, his brothers John of Quincy, Kevin of S. Boston and Vincent of N. Attleboro, his sister Karen of Quincy. He was the brother of the late James M. He was the owner of Quality Assessment Services. Daniel was born in Boston and his greatest joy was watching his children play hockey and baseball. He also loved being "Grandpa" to all six of his grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday December 15th at Christ Episcopal Church in Plymouth at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A) N. Plymouth on Wednesday December 14th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 811 W. Evergreen Ave, Suite 204, Chicago, IL 60642 or to the American Cancer Society – Plymouth Unit, 1115 W. Chestnut St, Brockton, MA 02301.
