Obituary

WEBSTER - Mae C. (Thompson) Farry, 92, originally of Salem, died Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center after a period of declining health.

She leaves 2 granddaughters, Deborah O’Connor and her husband Aaron of Everett and Toni Rushing and her husband Dewey of San Diego, CA; a great granddaughter Sophia, also of San Diego; nieces and nephews; a great nephew and caregiver, Stephen Thompson Kohut and his wife Sylwia of Webster, with whom she lived prior to her illness. She was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Bowes, by 2 brothers, Carl and Ralph Thompson, and by a sister, Alice Larcom.

She was born and raised in Salem, a daughter of Christopher and Annette (Pearson) Thompson She graduated from Salem High School. She lived in the San Diego, CA area for 30 years before moving to Webster in 2004.

Mae had worked at Shetland Park in Salem before she retired. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading, and was an avid painter. Her special love was her family.

A graveside service will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
