Donald Arruda, 77, of Westport, passed away on December 9, 2011 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel and Alexandrina (Terceira) Arruda. A United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War, he was employed by the Mass. Dept. of Public Works before retiring in 1995. Don was the loving husband of Patricia (Cordeiro) Arruda for 47 years. He was the devoted father of Terri Fernandes, John Pacheco, Scott Arruda, and David Souza. Don had five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as a large extended family.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 -7 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, MA.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 9 A.M. from the Potter Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport.
Interment will be private.
