Obituary

Dennis M. Traynor, CLU, 62, of Manchester, NH died (graduated) December 7, 2011 in Plymouth, MA from injuries received in an auto accident.
He was born in Lawrence, MA on May 26, 1949 to Francis and June (Crowley) Traynor. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence.
He attended St. Anselm College and earned a master’s degree in financial planning from American College in Pennsylvania.
Dennis was an insurance compliance officer with New York Life Insurance Company. He also worked for New England Financial, Met Life, John Hancock Insurance Co., American Mutual Insurance, and was the founder of Kingston Financial Services.
He was a communicant of St. Marie Church in Manchester where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Cursillo movement, the NH Tres Dias movement, the Sarto Center in Hooksett and served with Eight Days of Hope. He also had many affiliations within the insurance industry.
Dennis enjoyed adventures with his grandchildren, playing his piano, boating and basketball. He was affectionately known as the “CEO of sanity checks”.
He was a mentor to family, friends and co-workers. His relationship with Christ informed everything he did.
His “ridiculously large family” includes his wife of 41 years, Diane A. (Hayes) Traynor of Manchester; four children, Noelle Morin and her husband, Michael, of Longview, TX, Louise Beal and her husband, Pete, of Rochester, NH, Sarah Barr and her husband, Matt, of Willington, CT, and Patrick Traynor and his wife, Sarah, of Manchester, NH; 13 grandchildren; four siblings, Mary Timson and her husband, Paul, of Derry, NH, Ellen Delisle of Manchester, NH, Daniel Traynor and his wife, Jackie, of Atkinson, NH and Judith Desrosiers and her husband, Scott, of Hollis, NH; his father in law, Donald Hayes Sr.; a sister in law, Melanie Nesheim and her husband, Bill; a brother in law, Donald Hayes Jr; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and “The Insurance Kids”.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, December 19, 2011 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
