UXBRIDGE—Teresa B. (Baccari) Lorenzo 83, of Uxbridge, passed away peacefully, Monday December 5, 2011 at home surrounded by her family following a long illness. She was the wife of the late F. James “Fudge” Lorenzo who died in 1989.
Born December 17, 1927 in Newton, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Donata (Cedrone) Baccari she had been a resident of Uxbridge for over 21 years, and was formerly of Milford & Franklin.
She was raised and educated in Newton, and was a graduate of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish School. Until her retirement several years ago, she worked as a compensation agent at the Wrentham State School.
A woman of strong religious beliefs she could always be seen praying the “Rosary” and she treasured time with her family and grandchildren. Known in the family for her famous ravioli’s, she also enjoyed crosswords puzzles, traveling and was always ready to take a ride somewhere.
She is survived by a son, Edward F. “Eddie” Lorenzo and his wife Vicki of Uxbridge, 2 daughters Teresa J. Dore and her husband James of Kingston, and Maureen S. Lorenzo of North Providence, RI, 2 sisters; Carol Gaudet of Franklin, and Rita Leone of West Newton. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren & several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Judith Ann Lorenzo and sister of the late Daniel, Louis, & Antionette Baccari, Mary Lorenzo, Clementina Leone, Joanne LaCava, Nina Wilson, and Cesidia Fuller.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday Dec. 10th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
