Obituary

WEBSTER – Bradford J. Kemp, age 90, of 352 School St., died Sunday, March 14, at Webster Manor. His wife, Josephine (Stillman) Kemp, died in 1983.

He leaves a son, Robert L. Kemp of Alameda, CA; his twin brother, Adelbert S. Kemp of Dudley; and his dearest friend, Florence P. Dupre of Dudley.

He was born in Worcester, son of Frank A. and Amelia (Klebart) Kemp. He was a graduate of Bartlett High School, class of 1933, and a 1946 graduate of the Renouard Training School for Embalmers and Funeral Directors in New York City.

Mr. Kemp was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the European-African Middle Eastern Theatre. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of the 29th Division Association of Wold War II Army Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post 184, and a 50 year member of the Webster Lodge of Masons and a member of the Royal Arch Chapter in Southbridge.

He was employed as an embalmer at the former Pike and Luther Funeral Home for 38 years, retiring in 1985.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 18, from the Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd, Dudley. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.

A calling period will be on Thursday, March 18, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM in the funeral home.
