Fred G. Mahoney, 75, of New Bedford died February 16, 2002 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home of colon cancer.
He was the husband of the late Grace M. (Penton) Mahoney and son of the late Fred G. and Laura E. (St. Jean) Mahoney.
Mr. Mahoney was born in New Bedford and lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church and a graduate of Holy Family High school, class of 1944.
Mr. Mahoney was formerly employed by the City of New Bedford, Department of Public Works and retired from the New Bedford Housing Authority.
He served in the US Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his sister, Ann C. Mahoney of New Bedford; several cousins.
He was the brother of the late Irene M. Levesque.
