Mary Evelyn Wirrick, age 98 of Clarksville, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at her daughter's residence.
She was born August 5, 1913 in Hopedale, IL, the daughter of the late Robert Bratcher and Zula Yoakum Bratcher. She worked as a hostess at Tarpley Funeral Home for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roy Edward Wirrick.
She is survived by one son, Frederick Wirrick; three daughters, Regina (Dominick) Azzara, Rosemary Cappella and Alyce Sheets, all of Clarksville; one sister, Wanita Erickson of Indianapolis, IN; eleven grandchildren, James Cappella, David Cappella, Joseph Slovensky,Jr, Matthew Cappella, Teresa Kastenbaum, Brooke Wirrick, Nicholas Azzara, Jonathan Azzara, Meagan Wirrick, Luke Azzara and Garrett Wirrick and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3PM until 7PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, and Vigil will be held at 7PM Wednesday at the church followed by a Rosary.
Funeral Liturgy will be held 10AM Thursday at the church with Father Anthanasius Abanulo officiating assisted by Deacon Dominick Azzara. Burial will be in Ft. Donelson National Cemetery, Dover, TN. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Gold Star Wives.
