Eleanor M. (Duggan) Neal age 79 of Brockton died Sunday December 4, 2011 at Life Care of West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Donald Neal for 40 years. Eleanor was born in Boston and raised in Quincy a daughter of the late John and Helen Duggan and moved to Brockton in 1964. She was a 1952 graduate of Quincy High School and had been a nurse’s aide at the former Embassy House Nursing Home in Brockton for many years.
Eleanor loved to shop and have lunch out with the girls. She loved all animals especially her puppies and will be remembered as a loving and social lady devoted to her family.
Eleanor is survived by her five children Donald R. Neal, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Milton and Houston, Texas; Philip W. Neal of Brockton; Susan C. Sullivan and her husband Robert of Brockton; Lisa M. DiNunno and her husband Richard of Bridgewater and John J. Neal and his wife Mary of Brockton. She leaves seven grandchildren Christopher, Philip, Paige, John, Jr. and Adam Neal and Nico and Michael DiNunno and was the sister of the late Jackie Duggan.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 4-8 pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home Thursday at 10:30 am followed by burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
