James Marion Tomes Sr.,92, passed away December 3,2011 at Rex Robley Veterans Medical Center.

He was a member of First United Baptist Church (Longfield) , retired from Jefferson County Board of Education, an Army veteran of W.W. II.,member of Highlands Park Masonic Lodge 865.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Margie C. (Bright) Tomes, daughter Joyce Perazzini, Angela K. Underwood ( Bob )

,sons James Tomes Jr. (Chasity) and Kris W. Tomes ( Jennifer). 7 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Brothers Sherman and Sammy Tomes, sisters Goldie Woosley and Jewell Tomes.

Funeral service 1 P.M. at First United Baptist Church (Longfield) 5507 Cartledge Court with burial in Lone Hill Cemetery.

Visitation Monday 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway and Tuesday at the church after

11 A.M.
