Harold E. Venner Jr., 73, of Raymond Rd., Chester, NH died Saturday February 16, 2002 at his home. Mr. Venner was born in Derry, NH on December 10, 1928, the son of the late Harold E. and Hazel (Kimball) Venner Sr. He had resided in Chester for 46 years, formerly living in Derry. Mr. Venner served with the US Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant and also served with the Air National Guard. He was a former Town Selectman in Chester and a member of the Chester Congregational Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roberta J. (Harvey) Venner, Chester, three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Cheryl V.) Silva, Kingston, NH, Mrs. Wayne (Debra V.) Potter, Londonderry, Mrs. Glenn (Janice E.) Bethune, Isleboro, Me., two sons, Jeffrey A. Venner and David P. Venner both of Chester, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, his sister, Hazel Grant, Haverhill, Ma, his brother, Paul Graham, Deerfield, NH, also several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Wednesday February 20th from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Memorial services will be held on Thursday February 21st at 11:00am in the Chester Congregational Church, Chester.
