Wilma Louise Ward, 80, Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Ward was born on January 10, 1931 to the late William Franklin and Elevener Lee Bray in Douglas, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband: Tom Ward. She had worked as legal secretary for the Probate Court in Douglas, GA and she was a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with interment following in the Douglas City Cemetery.
Survivors include: sons: Ken Ward, Savannah, GA and Keith Ward, Douglas, GA; stepdaughters: Sandra Davis, Atlanta, GA and Carolyn Studdard, Monroe, GA; sisters: Virginia Griffin and Pauline Merritt both of Douglas, GA and Joyce Harper, Ambrose, GA; brother: Billy Bray, Blackshear, GA; grandchildren: Cody Ward, Douglas, GA and Haylie Ward, Savannah, GA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.\
