Albert J. "Albie" Emerson 85, of Ledyard died Thursday
December 1, 2011 at Apple Rehab Saybrook.
He was born July 30, 1926, in New London, the son of Margaret and Alexander Amerson. He was predeceased
by 4 brothers and one sister as well as his beloved wife Leola A. (nee Amero) in 1991 and son Bruce P. in 2010.
He is survived by his sister Violet Wells of Waterford and 4 nieces.
Albie was an Army veteran of WWII and worked for General Dynamics for 47 years.
His family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 6, from 11am to 12 Noon at Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:30 at St. Patrick Cemetery, River Road, Old Mystic.
