Obituary

Joan W. Faulkner, 77, of Hooksett, died November 30, 2011 having fought bravely against an insidious lung disease. She was surrounded with family at the time of her passing.

Joan Adelaide Wyam was born in Belmont MA January 29, 1934 to Franklin and Geraldine (Massett) Wyman.
She attended local schools, and later was a 1955 graduate of Newton Wellesley Nursing School. For many years Joan worked as a Registered Nurse in several of the nursing homes in the Framingham area. She lived in the Framingham for most of her life which is where she and her husband raised their family. She and her late husband Kenneth Faulkner retired in Hooksett for the past fifteen years.

Joan married Ken Faulkner September 1955. After working for many years as a nurse she left her nursing vocation to join her husband’s side in owning and managing their own successful printing business.

Being an active member of the Congregational Church of Hooksett brought her much joy. She developed great friendships among her “church family” which she cherished dearly. Joan truly enjoyed being involved with various aspects of the church including working the food pantry and becoming a deacon. The annual fall retreat was one of her favorite activities she enjoyed with her church.

Family members include Robert and his wife Mary-Anne Faulkner of MA, and Stephen Faulkner of Allenstown; his daughter, Linda Baker and her husband Mark of VT; eight grandchildren, Timothy Faulkner, Jeffrey Faulkner, Jillian Faulkner, Brandon Faulkner, Meghan Faulkner, Scott Baker, Brianna Baker, and Luke Baker.

She will be laid to rest with her husband and baby daughter at Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham, MA.
