WORCESTER-Esther H. (LeClair) Troy, 88, of Worcester died Friday, December 2nd at home. Her husband was the late Earl A. Troy. She leaves three sons, Mark J. Troy and his wife, Jacquelyn of Worcester, Stephan E. Troy and his wife, Ellen of Worcester and David F. Troy and his wife, Katherine of Rutland; a daughter, Patricia A. Cummings of North Brookfield; 11 grandchildren, Cheryl Jobe, James Troy, Paul Cummings, Michelle Cummings, Theresa Varville, Marie Troy, Thomas Troy, Christine Troy, Paula Beriau, Lisa Turner, Megan Troy; 13 great grandchildren including Melinda to whom the family would like to extend a special thanks; two great great grandsons and many nephews and nieces. A son, Paul A. Troy, a brother, Armand LeClair and two sisters, Yvonne Shakour and Rita Schofield predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Joseph LeClair and Eva (Clouatre) LeClair Barber. Esther worked at Worcester City Hospital and the Washburn House as a dietary aide before retiring. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed gardening and crafts. Mrs. Troy was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church.
Esther’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Hannah, Lisa and Judy who were her caregivers for their compassion and care.
The funeral is Wednesday, December 7th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
