Obituary

Frank E. Russas, 70, of Chestnut Hills Court, the Apprenticeship Coordinator for Local #17 before retiring in 2003 died Thursday, December 1, 2011. He was the husband of Carmela A. (Puleo) Russas.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Irene D. (Gabriau) Russas. He lived in Smithfield since 1969. He was a member of the St. Philip Church Men’s Club and coached several of the Smithfield Youth Sports Teams.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: David E. Russas and his wife, Emily of Smithfield, Renee A. Briggs and her husband, Joseph of Cranston and Diana L. Russas of Pawtucket; four grandchildren: Tyler, Matthew, Giuliana and the late Adam and a sister Joyce Salemi of Cranston. He was brother of the late Alfred Russas.

Funeral Monday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Sunday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Tomorrow Fund Clinic, 593 Eddy St., Providence, RI 02903-4947.
