WORCESTER- Johanna M. (Daley) Augustine, 81 of 244 Belmont Street, died Friday, February 15th in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after an illness. Her husband of 43 years, Victor J. Augustine died in 1983. She leaves her son, Richard V. Augustine of Spencer; her daughter, Elizabeth M. Farkas of Long Island, NY; two sisters, Mary Barrett of North Grafton and Elizabeth Kalonas of Northbridge; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Timothy and Francis Daley and a sister, Julia Oroskza predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Timothy and Elizabeth (McEllgett) Daley. Mrs. Augustine was an inspector for New England Envelope for many years before retiring in 1983. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church.
After cremation a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 20th in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial of ashes will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
