BEDFORD– Yvonne C. Bresnahan, 71, died November 30, 2011 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness with her family by her side.
She was born in Hammond, IN on November 9, 1940 the daughter of Harry Porter and Alvine (Cyr) Gahagan and had been a long time resident of this community.
She had worked for Family Social Services, in MA., secretary for Gov. Steve Merrill, Director of the Franco-American Center, and taught Lamaze in Manchester for over 24 years. She also worked at Harvest Market and Macy's.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening and photography.
She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Bartholomew Francis Bresnahan on August 3,1979.
Members of her family include two sons, Brian Bresnahan and his wife Michelle of Bedford, Sean Bresnahan and his wife Kelly of Deerfield, two daughters, Renee Sullivan and her husband Robert of Flowery Branch, GA, Monique Smith and her husband Scott of Statham, GA., seven grandchildren.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in St Elizabeth Church, Bedford. Entombment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
