John F. Lavender Jr., 61, of Church Street, Greenville, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Hazel (Williams) Lavender of Smithfield and the late John F. Lavender. He had been a resident of Greenville for two years. He was a graduate of Bryant College, class of 1982. He was a self-employed carpenter. He was an avid fisherman, Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Besides his Mother, he is survived by his son, Jonathan “Jon” Lavender of Dedham, MA, and daughter Jenna L. Vallee of Greenville, grandchildren, Hunter and Adrienne Vallee. He is also survived by his sister Deborah J. Lavender of Smithfield, and his brothers: Richard E. Lavender of Westport, MA and Daniel F. Lavender of FL.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Vistation 9-10am. Burial private. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to American Diabetes Assn., P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720
