MARY MAYOLA (MATTINGLY) THOMAS, 89, passed away on November 29, 2011.
She was a native of Marion County, KY., a retired employee of Paramount Foods and a member of VFW Post 6182 Auxillary.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Benedict C. Thomas, Sr., her daughter, Linda Duffer, son, Dicky Thomas, her brother, Spalding Mattingly, and sisters, Mildred McCauley and Geraldine Cecil.
Survivors include her loving son, Benedict C. Thomas, Jr. (Sandy) who cared for her in their home; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Bernie and Junie Mattingly; and her sister, Sue Thompson.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:00 noon Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
