Marie (Yeisley) Kraemer, age 79, of Ocean View Avenue, Mystic, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011.
Marie was born in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, to Freida (Bosenbary) Yeisley and George Martin Yeisley.
She graduated from Pen Argyl High School in 1950 and married Frederick L. Kraemer in 1952. They made Mystic their home since 1960, where Marie led an active life raising five children and developing many life-long friendships.
Marie will always be remembered for her passionate and kind heart, welcoming all to her home, while continuously acting as surrogate mom to many. Marie enjoyed cooking and sewing for her children and seven grandchildren. She loved music and was known for her beautiful singing voice. She was a long time member of the Mystic Congregational Church, active in the Women’s Fellowship, Choir and Bell Choir. She, also, volunteered for many years at the former Mystic Manor.
Besides her husband, Marie is survived by her five children, Julia Marie Kraemer and her partner Michael McLaughlin of New London, Rita (Kraemer) Barber of Uncasville, Charles Kraemer and his wife Minerva of Ledyard, Elizabeth (Kraemer) Bigley and her husband James of Ledyard, Sarah (Kraemer) Blodgett and her husband David of Ledyard; grandchildren Jessica Marie Castillo, Crystal and Ernest Richard III, Timothy and Elizabeth Blodgett, Corinna and Caylee Kraemer; sister Jane Feldman of North Tonawanda, NY. Marie was predeceased by her great-granddaughter Jenna Nicole Castillo.

A private burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2nd, at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. A public Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3rd, at the Mystic Congregational Church, 43 East Main Street, Mystic.
