Obituary

Methuen, Ma. – Joseph J. LeFave, 87 died Tuesday November 29, 2011 at the family residence.
Mr. LeFave was born September 4, 1924 in Wakefield, Ma. the son of William and Mary (Murphy) LeFave. Joseph was a graduate of Wakefield grammar and high school.
For more than 30 years Joseph had been a foreman with the Raytheon, Corporation prior to his retirement.
He was a communicant of Saint Monica’s Church of Methuen.
His family said that Joseph loved woodworking, was an avid sportsman, enjoyed fishing, and at one time played hockey on a semi pro team. Joseph also enjoyed cooking, loved to paint portraits, and had a passion for the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots.
The widower of Rita (Illingworth) LeFave Joseph is survived by son’s James J. LeFave and companion Milly Enger of Methuen, and Daniel F. and his wife Joanne Seddon of Manchester, NH and formerly of North Andover 3 grandchildren Pamela, Lori, and Betsy, 6 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrence.
Friends will be warmly received on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen
