John Ezemoli, 95, of New Bedford died November 29, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the devoted husband of the late Kathleen B. (Loughlin) Ezemoli.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Gildo and Desolina (Belforti) Ezemoli, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Ezemoli was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
He was formerly employed by Revere Copper & Brass for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Ezemoli served in the U.S. Army during World War II and participated in the battles of Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
He was an avid New York Yankees fan. Mr. Ezemoli loved music, especially Big Band and Frank Sinatra.
Survivors include his son, James E. Ezemoli and his wife Kathy of Rockwall, TX; a brother-in-law, Edward Loughlin of Fairhaven; a granddaughter, Gina Kathryn Kelbert; a great-granddaughter, Shelby Reese Kelbert; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Rose Ezemoli, Theresa Sylvia and Jane DeVito.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, December 2nd at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
