Obituary

FRANKLIN—Paul F. Killoy 71, of Franklin, died Saturday November 26, 2011, at his sons home in Colorado Springs, while visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday. He was the beloved husband of Mary L. (Boles) Killoy.
Born in Boston on February 9, 1940 a son of the late Charles B. and Helen C. (Gormley) Killoy, he was a resident of Franklin since 1975, and was a former resident of West Roxbury and Roslindale.
He was raised and educated in Boston, where he was a graduate of Roslindale High School and after serving in the United States Navy; he attended Newbury College and received an associate’s degree in Applied Sciences.
Mr. Killoy was a retired serviceman for the MBTA, and he also was a longtime security officer at the Tri-County Regional High School in Franklin.
He enjoyed cheering for any Boston sports team, hunting, fishing, bowling, reading, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is survived by 3 sons; Paul F. Killoy, Jr. and his wife Ruth of Bellingham, Stephen M. Killoy and his wife Lori of Franklin, David A. Killoy and his wife Margie of Colorado, a daughter Christine M. Lanord and her husband Rick of Douglas.
Also surviving are his grandchildren; Ryan, Alex, Matthew, Samantha, & Kate Killoy, Timothy “TJ” Lanord, Sarah, Jeremy, Maggie, & Tommy Killoy.
He is the brother of the late Richard and Charles Killoy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral with military honors Friday December 2nd, at 8:30AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 10:30AM. Interment will follow.
Calling hours are Thursday Dec. 1st, from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
Due to floral limitations at the cemetery the family suggests donations in his memory sent to; Alzheimer's Association Mass Chapter 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
Arrangements are in the care of the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Home.
