Obituary

Ernest F. Wolfgang, 78, of Norfolk died November 28 in the Epoch Senior Health Care in Sharon. He was the husband of the late Jane (Mitchell) Wolfgang.
Born in Roslindale, November 2, 1933, the son of the late Frederick and Lillian (Eagles) Wolfgang, he was raised in Canton and had lived in Norfolk since 1965.
Mr. Wolfgang had been a salesman for the Larchmont Engineering Company.
Mr. Wolfgang was a member of the German Club, Boylston Shul-Verein of Walpole and enjoyed being part of Oktoberfest every year. He was also a member of the American Legion.
He enjoyed going to flea markets and was a collector of beer steins.
Mr. Wolfgang served in the Air Force during the 1950’s and was stationed in Germany where he attained the rank of Airman 2nd Class.
He is survived by his children, Doris Foley and her husband David of Maine, Judy Ralli of Plainville, Karl Wolfgang of Norfolk, Kurt Wolfgang and his wife Dawn of Attleboro, Patricia Cook of Warwick, RI, and was the father of the late Robert Wolfgang.
He is also survived by his sisters, June Deslauriers of Florida and Barbara Smalley of Sandwich.
He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 2 in St. Jude’s Church in Norfolk at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Norfolk Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
