TAUNTON - Mary (Martin) Ferreira, wife of the late Antone Ferreira, died at Longmeadow of Taunton on Nov. 27, 2011.
She was 95.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Pauline (Fonseca) Martin.
Raised and educated in Taunton, and a lifelong resident, Mrs. Ferreira was employed by Jostens as an inspector for many years, before retiring at the age of sixty-five.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, baking, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, David Ferreira and his wife Barbara of Raynham; two daughters, Shirley M. Pinto and her husband Joseph of Taunton, and Mary Ann Borges of Taunton; a sister, Lena Travis of Taunton; seven grandchildren, Michael A. Borges, Daniel A. Borges, Steven Pinto, Brian Pinto, Christina Andrade, Lori A. Williamson and Amy L. Ferreira; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Manuel and Ayres Martin, and the mother-in-law of the late Daniel Borges.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, Dec. 1st at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 30th from 5 to 8 p.m.
