Eva M. Ingala (Antoncecchi) of Somerville, died unexpectedly Sunday at the Melrose/Wakefield Hospital. She was 86.
Eva was born and raised in Somerville’s Warwick St. neighborhood, known as “the patch” and was the daughter of the late Massimo and the late Maria (Valeri) Antoncecchi. Eva was devoted to her family and enjoyed the company of her relatives and friends. She also worked for 17 years as an assistant teacher in Somerville Public Schools with special needs students. She took great delight in helping them and seeing her students make progress.
The beloved wife of the late Charles J Ingala, she was a devoted mother to Chuck Ingala and his wife Denise of Winchester and Cheryl A. Ingala of Somerville. She was a loving grandmother to Joseph C. Agliata and Ryan C. Ingala. The dear sister of Nora Siciliano and her husband Charlie of Somerville and the late Leo “Chick” Antoncecchi, she also leaves her sister-in-law Edith Antoncecchi of Fla. as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, December 1st, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Wednesday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
