Remy A. Fauquet Jr, 89, of Treasure Island FL passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011. He was born in Mystic on September 15, 1922, the son of Remy and Ella Fauquet.
He entered the Coast Guard in 1942 and served during WWII. After being discharged, he owned and operated Fauquet’s Marina in Mystic for many years. He was a commercial fisherman out of Stonington in the early '70's. He and his wife, Senta, spent many winters in Florida, until her death.
Remy spent the last years with his longtime friend, Dorothy Lounsbury. He is survived by his sister, Geneva Bessette, of VA, his nephew Wally Fauquet and his wife Tina of Stonington, as well as several great nieces and nephews. He will be missed.
At Remy’s request, funeral services were private for the family. He is resting next to his wife, Senta.
