Bonnie Lynn Hartman Norris, 61, of Tifton passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate with burial to be held at a later date in Orlando, Florida. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. At Mrs. Norris’ request, attendees of the service are asked not to wear black, but preferably jeans and a cancer-awareness shirt.
Mrs. Norris was born on October 10, 1950 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Betty Crawford Hartman of Tifton and the late George Hartman. She was retired and attended the First Baptist Church in Tifton. She was active in the Newcomer’s Club of Tifton and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Mrs. Norris is survived by her husband, Calvin Norris of Tifton; one son, Wayne Norris of Orlando, Florida; two daughters, Kristie Teel and Angel Hartman, both of Tifton; one brother, Charles Hartman of Butler, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mary Power of Springfield, Illinois; two grandchildren, Michele Norris and Lila Brennan; one canine son; and three grand-dogs.
