Thienel, Walter C. “Wally” 75 of Louisville died Wednesday November 23, 2011
At Baptist Hospital East surrounded by his loving family. Born in Erie, PA he worked at
Anaconda Aluminum and later retired from the Jeffersontown City Hall. he was a A Navy Veteran,
a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Kentucky Colonel
Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Ernestine Thienel and step-son Steven Whitmer. He is survived by his wife of 35 years
The former Wilma Whitmer, daughters Kim McCoy (Scott), Karen Allen (Rocky), Sharon Gritton(Gary), Diane Able (Jerry), and
Darrell Whitmer (Betty). Granddaughter Kayla Allen; Step Grandchildren Tammy Herrmann, Cindi Elson, Andrew Elson, and Shaye Whitmer;
Great grandchildren Justin and Brian Herrmann, Rhade and Theron Whitmer, and Colin Elson; Sisters Dottie Quenesberry (Dave) and Margie Baumgardner (Larry).
His Memorial Service will be 4 pm Saturday November 26, 2011 at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown
9318 Taylorsville Rd with Visitation Saturday from 2-4pm.
