TEWKSBURY - Louise Ann (Vecchione) Pappalardo, age 83, died Wednesday, November 23 at Fairhaven Healthcare in Lowell after a long period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Salvatore "Sam" Pappalardo who died August 9, 2005 and formerly the widow of John A. Broski.
She was born January 8, 1928 in Watertown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice (DeLuca) Vecchione. She was raised in Watertown and lived in Lexington before settling in Tewksbury in 1953. She worked briefly as a retail clerk in Lexington before becoming a devoted mother and homemaker for her family. In her later years, she was active in the Golden Age Club of Tewksbury and loved traveling with the Tewksbury Seniors.
She is survived by her daughter; Ann Broski of Tewksbury, a son and daughter-in-law; John and Kathleen (Mahoney) Broski of Methuen, three brothers; Anthony Vecchione of Gloucester, Joseph Vecchione of Stoneham, Michael Vecchione of Chelmsford, a sister; Anna Wildes of Arizona, her five grandchildren; Lindsey Ann Condon, Brittni Lee Condon both of Tewksbury, John Patrick Broski, Matthew Broski, Timothy Broski all of Methuen.
She was the sister of the late, Rosemarie Vecchione and Edith Vecchione.
Her Funeral Mass was November 28, 2011 in St. William Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Alzheimer's Association, MA/NH Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472, will be appreciated.
